The annual alumni follow-up seminar was held on 27-28 December 2024 at the Phnom Penh Teachers’ Education College (P-TEC) in Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh.
This year’s event was held over two days to celebrate the 10th anniversary.
On the first day, 27 December, 14 presentations were made, including research presentations deeply rooted in educational practice by graduates of the Phnom Penh Teacher Education College and Battambang Teacher Education College who are active as school teachers, in addition to graduates and current students of the University.

On the second day, 28 December, under the theme ‘Let’s Think about Education in Cambodia Together: A Sharing Session You Can Hear Diverse Stories from Diverse Educators’, a panel discussion was held with five panellists, alumni working in the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Cambodian Government, the President of the Phnom Penh Teacher Education College, and Prof.Taiji Hotta, Prof.Takuya Baba and Prof.Kinya Shimizu of Hiroshima University.

The seminar was attended by more than 100 participants, both face-to-face and online, including our alumni, students supervised by our alumni, and graduates. Here is the program.
It was also an opportunity to reaffirm the important role of Hiroshima University alumni in the development of education in Cambodia.
