Being engaged with international cooperation in mathematics education since 1984, this presentation reflects the points which have been encountered at different missions and stages. They include JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) volunteer teacher in the Philippines, mathematics teacher in Osaka, Japan, JICA expert in SMASSE (Strengthening of Mathematics and Science in Secondary Education Project) project in Kenya, JICA sub-leader of JICA Bangladesh project, JICA expert in curriculum development in Zambia, PISA　(Programme for International Student Assessment) international subject expert, TALIS (Teaching and Learning International Survey) national expert, various invited lectures. It is important to make a step ahead to open a new possibility in intersection of mathematics education and international cooperation.
