The 4th Chugoku-Shikoku International Educational Development Forum was held (Hiroshima University and Naruto University of Education)

On Saturday, October 17, 2026, we held the 4th Chugoku-Shikoku International Educational Development Forum at Naruto University of Education.

This forum began as a research exchange between Hiroshima University and Naruto University of Education.

The first forum was held at Hiroshima University in November 2023, and since then, it has been held annually, alternating between the two universities.

More than 80 participants attended the forum, including 32 faculty members and graduate students from Hiroshima University.

All presentations were delivered in English, and the four sessions were held in parallel.

At the closing ceremony, Professor Shimizu and other Professors reviewed presentations, three graduate students from Hiroshima University received the “Best Presentation Award” and were honored.

Finally, Professor Baba—who played a central role in launching this forum and is scheduled to retire this fiscal year—delivered the closing remarks, in which he expressed his hope for the forum’s continued growth.
