Curriculum related officers from the government of Bangladesh visited HU for training

As part of the JICA technical cooperation project “Bangladesh JICA Support Program 3 for Strengthening Mathematics and Science Education in Primary Education Project”, which is being jointly entrusted/implemented by Hiroshima University and Padeco Corporation, a training course in Japan is being conducted from February 4 to 16, 2024.

Eighteen officials from the National Curriculum and Textbook Bureau’s primary and secondary science and mathematics curriculum specialists, as well as education administrators from the Bureau of Elementary Education and the Bureau of Middle and Higher Education, are visiting Japan to receive training.
The purpose of this training program is to promote understanding of internationally recognized Japanese curriculum development and practice, and to provide an opportunity to discuss the next stage of Bangladesh primary and secondary curriculum improvement and teacher education improvement.

Lecture by Prof.Baba

On February 8, 2024 (Thursday), the training was held in the Large Conference Room of the IDEC building at Hiroshima University, where the participants attended lectures on “New Trends in Science Education Curriculum (Elementary to Junior High School)” (by Prof. Kinya Shimizu) and “New Trends in Mathematics and Arithmetic Education Curriculum (Elementary to Junior High School)” (by Prof.Takuya Baba) and interacted with international students from Bangladesh (International Education Development Program, Science and Mathematics Field).
